Ceyero Consulting is the sponsor for the Selma Business Pitch Contest hosted in Selma, Alabama. The Selma Business Pitch gives small businesses and entrepreneurs the opportunity to hone their presentation skills, build confidence and present their ideas in 5 minutes or less to a panel of business leaders and entrepreneurs for the opportunity to win cash prizes and business management consultation.  Pitches are evaluated on three, equally-weighted categories.

 

CONTEST INFORMATION:

• Date: November 30, 2019 from 8:30am to 5:30pm

• Place: Selma High School, 2180 Broad St., Selma, Alabama 36701

• Cost: Free to participate.  Free to attend.

JUDGING CRITERIA

Pitches are evaluated on three, equally-weighted categories:

• Presentation: Clarity of the presentation, Ability to articulate the business model, Level of passion shown for their business model;

• Opportunity: Target market identification, Market size, Target customer identification;  and

• Solution: Clear value proposition, Differentiated product or solution, Financial viability and profitability of the business model

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:

The participate criteria is listed below:

• Minimum Age - Participants must be a minimum of 16 years of age

• Welcomed Business/Concepts Types -  For-profit and non-profit Startups at all stages. For-profit and non-profit small businesses with less than $7 million in sales and fewer than five hundred employees. Entrepreneurs with concepts and/or business plans.
